We Completed the Renovation of “Šćepan Đukić” Elementary School, Lijeva Rijeka

Everyone is rushing toward cities and urban centers, seeking better opportunities for work and life. The same often applies to education.

However, just thirty kilometers from the center of Podgorica, still within the municipality, lies a charming little school surrounded by forest and nature. Around ten students attend this school, and we are proud to have been part of a project that will make their school days and time spent in the classroom more pleasant.

The school is called “Šćepan Đukić” and is located in Lijeva Rijeka, where we had the opportunity to serve as the main contractor for its renovation.

The works included the restoration of the old stone façade and installation of new PVC windows and doors. We paid special attention to the school’s interior, where we renovated four classrooms. New floors, walls, and ceilings were installed, and the old wooden floor was reinforced to improve student safety. The renovation provided the school with modern classrooms designed for physics, chemistry, biology, and history — offering students a higher-quality and more inspiring learning environment.

Rural schools don’t have to be any less modern than those in cities, and it’s important to remind ourselves that education gained there is equally valuable – both in quality and in the environment in which it takes place.

We hope that the relevant Ministries will continue investing in the modernization of public educational institutions.
