Numerous studies show that the business environment has a significant impact on work productivity, and creating a modern, functional, and well-designed space is a crucial aspect for many companies. Before proceeding with the adaptation of the business premises, it is necessary to develop a conceptual design that aligns the client’s needs and desires with the architect’s vision.
At the client’s request, we have completed the conceptual design project for the adaptation of their building. After evaluating the existing situation and elements of the building, an optimal solution has been proposed in line with standards and improvement requirements. Offices for over 120 workstations, meeting rooms, and supporting facilities (toilets, mini kitchens, storage, archives, etc.) have been organized and planned.
Modern materials that meet the necessary standards and requirements have been selected, and the conceptual design has achieved comfort for employees and increased productivity in the workplace. The conceptual design project for the adaptation of the MTKC building aims to renovate the existing business premises and expand it. The building should accommodate an increased number of employees and diverse types of workstations. Working and auxiliary spaces, representative entrance halls, as well as horizontal and vertical communications, are recognized.
There are four typologies within the working zones – open space areas, private offices, meeting rooms, and quiet rooms. The idea is to achieve a dynamic space with working blocks separated from supporting facilities, smaller offices, toilets, kitchens, etc., by corridors. Although the design language varies, spaces with the same purpose are connected to each other on each floor. The selection of materials and the design of interior elements aim to provide comfort and productivity to employees.
Large areas in glass bordered by metal profiles allow natural light to penetrate secondary spaces. Natural, subdued colors, materials, and greenery create an impression of a comfortable and sophisticated space. A significant emphasis is placed on the acoustic quality of the space, as well as a thoughtful lighting system.
The result is a space that successfully meets the hybrid needs of modern business typologies, balancing the spectrum of spatial and emotional needs of teams and individuals. The majority of the space in the new concept is occupied by flexible open space areas that can be continuously recomposed in line with new purposes in the future.
